Just like in "normal" digital photography, MOBOTIX cameras can zoom into images to enlarge the image, giving the user a more detailed view. This "virtual" PTZ function (Pan/Tilt/Zoom) does not rely on a mechanical pan/tilt unit with zoom lens as in classical video surveillance; instead, the camera features purely software-driven features in connection with a fixed focal length lens and a high-resolution image sensor.
Open the vPTZ Settings dialog to configure the camera's PTZ features.
Notes:
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
Lock vPTZ Actions: |
Locks the currently displayed view. All vPTZ actions executed with a mouse, a joystick or softbuttons will be locked and you will not be able to store or load views. |
Crosshairs |
Shows the position of the current image section in the Live image using crosshairs. In addition, it is possible to show the movements of the joystick in the image to test its functionality. |
Lock Mouse Wheel Zoom |
Activates/deactivates operating the zoom feature with the mouse wheel. |
PTZ Movement Settings |
Select the time and acceleration parameters that are used when loading a view or when moving to a new click position. For moving to a new click position, the camera can use one of these methods:
|
Surround Image Settings |
When defining the Surround view, the individual views are determined depending on the current (normal) view (i.e. the current view will be in the top left image window later on). The override option is supposed to ensure that a proper first configuration can be reached for most installations. This option can also be used to avoid any accidental changes to the Surround image later on. |
Mounting Settings |
When using a ceiling-mounted camera, moving past the image center (perpendicular to the ceiling) would result in an upside-down image. To avoid this, the camera stops the movement at the Flip Tilt Limit or turns the image around if the Ceiling Auto Flip option is activated. Note that the camera image moves on a radius around the center of the camera's coordinate system. In this case, the camera uses the Flip Tilt Limit as an offset to the image center (0° tilt angle). |
